covered the Rockefeller Center x-mas tree lighting tonight. how cool is my job?!?

For those who don't know New York's geography: Astoria, where I live, is perhaps as far away as you can get from Rockaway Beach (where the plane hit) and still be in Queens. I did race off to the scene, only to be stopped on a bridge about five miles from the scene. (The Rockaways are a peninsula). So had to run and hitchhike to the scene, then got sent to a hospital. Afterward that tried to find firefighters and eventually went to an NTSB briefing around 10 p.m. (if you saw it on TV, I asked the questions about why they are leaning so heavily against thinking this is terrorism).
